Near-ideal for sensory processing management
Contrary to being hard of hearing, I hear too much, and am easily overwhelmed by the sound clutter. I am irritated by the soft static sound of the 'World On' mode being engaged, but this static is easily overridden by my playing music through them at the same time. (Or, ironically, Brown Noise — a different kind of static, that I find calming. It's what the ocean would sound like if the ocean only spoke at one pitch.) Aside from this static issue, my only other disappointment is that I can't wear them while jogging. They will fit securely in my ear while I just walk, but I find the impact pulses of jogging will incrementally jostle them out. However, I still find them valuable companions for managing the stimuli of my environment, and will always being using them when going into town, or other busy-sounding environments. Like at the supermarket, with its incessant beeping, its crowd chatter, and its rattling of trolleys. Or at church, where our strong-voiced pastor speaks too loudly for me, so I temper it with a blanket of Brown Noise, while still hearing him clearly.
